From the first slip to the last paycheck
Log overtime in seconds
Tap a date and enter your times. The slip fills in around your chart and tour, then you preview, save and email a ready-to-print PDF.
- The calendar shows RDOs, vacation picks, paydays and each day’s tour hours.
- Reminders for slips you haven’t printed yet.
- Cash and time overtime marked right on the day.
- Back-of-slip details for Arrest, Court, Investigative and Other requests.
Transit overtime in a few taps
A template remembers the tour for overtime you work often, like Transit Overtime on a day off. Pick it once and the times, the hours, the category and the reason fill themselves in.
How it works
Open your calendar and double-tap the day off. The Log overtime slip opens for that date.
Under Day, your templates sit right after Working and RDO. Pick Transit Overtime.
Choose which tour you worked, like 05:00 to 13:35 or 13:00 to 21:35. The start and end times fill in.
The overtime hours, cash or time, category, reason and location are already there. Check them and save.
How to make a template
Make one for any overtime you work often. It takes a minute, and the first-time setup can even make the Transit one for you.
Go to Settings and open Overtime templates, then tap New template.
Give it a name, say whether every hour is overtime (like an RDO) or only the time after a regular tour, and enter the tour length.
Type each tour’s start time with a colon, like 05:00 and 13:00. A preview shows exactly what the template will offer.
Choose the OT slip form, category, cash or time, and the usual reason and location. Save it, and it shows up under Day.
Always know where you stand
See your overtime against your monthly and yearly caps at a glance, with colors that warn you as a cap gets close.
- Live gauges by month or year, with cash and time side by side.
- Missing OT points out slips that should be on a paycheck, so you know what to check.
- Every figure is an estimate. Your paycheck and Department records control.
Paid details, handled
Log each paid detail with its tour, job number and a photo of the signed slip, then mark it paid when it shows up on your check.
- An estimate before taxes on every detail.
- Signed slip photos stay on your phone and are never uploaded.
- Pending and Paid lists keep your month straight.
Check your paychecks
On Android, My Paychecks reads your own pay statements through your own ESS login, right on your phone, so you can compare each check with what you logged. You can also add pay statements from screenshots, photos or PDFs.
- Your login stays on your phone, and only if you choose to save it.
- Flags overtime that may be missing from a check.
- A “try it with sample checks” demo shows how it works before you connect anything.
- You agree to a short notice before the first sync.
From the scene to the paperwork
Walk-throughs that write your 61

A reminder is built in: notes about a case may be discoverable.
Be ready before you call the ADA
Gather the questions first so you have everything prepared. Each question has a short note on what to include.
- Grouped by Apprehension, Basic arrest details, Photo array, If vehicle related, Arrest with DV cases, Residential or commercial entry, Witnesses and neighbors, Property and evidence, and Household details.
- Move the questions around to match how you work.
- Email yourself the PDF for the case file, or print a blank form to fill in by hand.
Canvass for video, then make the report
Work out how far a DVR’s clock is from the real time, log each stop, and finish with a PDF you can email or text.
- DVR clock check, with the offset worked out for you.
- DVR password, cameras extracted, retention, photos and the custodian, all in one place.
- A map of your visits, numbered in the order you made them.
- Street camera canvass lets you log a row of addresses fast.

Good to know
Is SquadAce official?
No. It is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the NYPD, the City of New York or any union.
Does it send my information anywhere?
Not by default. Your entries live on your phone, and only what you choose to email or share leaves it. A few features, like weather and maps, use the internet.
Which phones does it run on?
Android is in private testing now. iPhone is not available yet.
Are the totals exact?
They are estimates worked out from what you enter. Your paycheck and Department records always control.
Where does the reference information come from?
From published laws, rules and guides. Anything marked “verify before use” hasn’t been checked against the official source yet, so always confirm before you rely on it.
How much will it cost?
That hasn’t been decided yet.
